Our guarantee

Our five-year structural guarantee covers manufacturing defects in bed and sofa frames, structural joints, centre supports and slat systems, plus supplied ottoman, recliner and sofa-bed mechanisms where included in the guarantee offered with that model. It starts on delivery and applies to the original purchaser’s normal domestic use in the UK.

Mattresses have a standard 12-month manufacturing guarantee unless a longer guarantee was advertised or agreed for your order. If you purchased under our previous five-year mattress structural guarantee, that longer promise remains valid. It covers the structural spring and internal construction defects described when you bought.

Electronics, motors, charging ports and other non-structural accessories have the product-specific cover stated at purchase. Any more favourable cover already advertised, including for a mechanism, will be honoured.

The voluntary guarantee does not cover normal wear, changes in comfort preference, ordinary cushion or filling settlement, cosmetic fabric wear, fading, stains, tears caused by use, accidental or pet damage. It excludes damage caused by misuse, overloading, unsuitable cleaning, damp, inadequate support, incorrect customer assembly or an alteration that caused the fault.

An exclusion applies to damage attributable to that cause, not automatically to an unrelated defect. We distinguish normal settling from premature manufacturing failure. A stain, missing protector or missing original receipt does not by itself prove an internal fault is excluded. Reasonable alternative proof of purchase is accepted.

Commercial use is outside this domestic guarantee unless agreed otherwise. The voluntary guarantee is not transferable, without limiting rights the law may give to another person.

Follow the model’s assembly, support, weight-limit and care instructions. Keep furniture dry and away from prolonged strong sunlight or direct heat. Do not jump on beds or stand on sofa arms. Stop operating a mechanism if it is obstructed or damaged.

Plump or rotate cushions where directed. Rotate a mattress as recommended, and only turn it over if designed to be double-sided. Removable covers are not automatically machine washable. Use cleaning methods suitable for the exact fabric.

Email customerservice@lovemybedss.co.uk with your order number or proof of purchase, a description of the problem and photographs or a short video if practical. We can discuss alternative evidence where needed. Please keep the item available for assessment and do not arrange chargeable repairs on our behalf without agreement.

We may arrange an inspection to establish the cause. For a confirmed claim, we will provide an appropriate repair or replacement under the guarantee. If neither is reasonably possible, we will discuss a suitable alternative remedy. We do not require repeated unsuccessful repairs where the law gives you another remedy.

A valid guarantee remedy is provided without charging you for necessary parts, labour or transport. If inspection identifies a problem outside the guarantee, we will explain the findings; any optional paid work must be quoted and agreed before it proceeds.

This guarantee is additional to the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Statutory rights can continue beyond a guarantee period and do not depend on registration. See our faulty-goods process.

The terms and promises applicable when you ordered are preserved. This update does not retrospectively shorten an existing guarantee.
