Shipping & Delivery
At LoveMyBedss, we aim to provide a smooth and reliable delivery service for all of our customers. The information below explains how our delivery process works and what you can expect when placing an order with us.
Delivery Timeframes
Many of our beds and sofas are manufactured to order, allowing us to offer a wide range of styles, fabrics and customisation options.
Typical delivery timeframes are:
- Beds & Mattresses: approximately 2–10 working days
- Sofas: delivery times may vary depending on the model and stock availability
- For sofa orders, customers are welcome to contact our team before placing an order to check current stock availability and estimated delivery times.
If an item is temporarily out of stock or requires extended manufacturing time, our team will inform you and provide an updated delivery estimate.
Booking Your Delivery
Once your order is ready, a member of our team will contact you to arrange a convenient delivery date.
Customers will receive:
- A nominated delivery day
- A delivery time slot the day before delivery
- A courtesy call from the driver prior to arrival
This helps ensure you know when to expect your delivery.
Two-Man Delivery Service
Most deliveries are carried out by our professional two-man delivery team, who will handle your furniture with care.
Our team will deliver your items safely to your property and ensure they arrive in good condition.
Please note delivery services may vary depending on product type and location.
Professional Assembly Service
If you have selected our professional assembly service, our delivery team will:
- Deliver your items to the room of your choice
- Carefully unpack the items
- Assemble the furniture according to manufacturer instructions
- Assembly services apply only where this option has been selected during checkout.
Assembly does not include:
- Structural alterations
- Wall mounting
- Electrical work
- Modifications to furniture or property
Room Preparation
Customers are responsible for ensuring the delivery location is clear, safe and accessible prior to delivery.
Our delivery team is not authorised to:
- Move existing furniture
- Remove fixtures or fittings
- Dispose of old furniture
Please ensure the room is fully prepared before our team arrives.
Access Restrictions
Please inform us in advance if there are any access restrictions at your delivery address, such as:
- Limited parking
- Narrow doorways or entrances
- Apartment buildings with restricted access
- Staircase limitations
Providing this information helps us avoid delays or issues on the day of delivery.
If our delivery team is unable to complete delivery due to undisclosed access restrictions, the delivery will be marked as failed.
In these circumstances:
- Redelivery charges may apply
- The original delivery charge will not be refunded
If lift access is available and the furniture fits safely inside the lift, our team will happily use it to complete the delivery.
Third-Party Delivery Partners
Some deliveries may be carried out by third-party courier or logistics partners acting on behalf of LoveMyBedss.
While we work closely with our delivery partners to provide a reliable service, delays caused by circumstances beyond our control may occasionally occur.
Failed Deliveries
A delivery may be marked as failed if:
- No one is present at the property
Access restrictions prevent delivery
The delivery location is unsafe
In these cases:
- The item may be returned to the warehouse
- A failed delivery charge of £99 may apply
- Redelivery charges may also apply
Inspecting Your Delivery
All items should be inspected upon delivery.
If any damage or issues are noticed, this must be reported within 24 hours of delivery by contacting our customer service team.
Failure to report damage within this timeframe may result in claims being declined.
Delivery Areas
We deliver to most areas within the UK mainland.
To check whether we deliver to your area, please use our postcode checker available on the website.
For certain locations including:
- Highlands
- Islands
- Remote areas
Delivery may be carried out by a third-party courier service and additional delivery charges or extended delivery timeframes may apply.
While we always aim to provide the best possible service, delivery services provided by third-party couriers are outside of our direct control.
If you are unsure whether we deliver to your location, please contact our team before placing your order and we will be happy to assist.
Protecting Your Property During Delivery
Beds, sofas, sofa beds, recliners and other furniture can be extremely large and heavy. Manoeuvring these items through doorways, hallways and rooms can involve unavoidable contact risks, particularly where access is restricted or surfaces are delicate.
We ask all customers to prepare and protect their property appropriately before our delivery team arrives.
Before delivery, customers must ensure that:
* Flooring throughout the delivery route is suitably protected, particularly newly fitted, wooden, laminate, vinyl, tiled, polished, painted or other easily marked flooring.
* Suitable non-slip floor protection is used where necessary. Thin sheets, loose blankets or coverings that may move or create a trip hazard should not be used.
* Doorways, door frames, walls, skirting boards, bannisters, thresholds and other vulnerable surfaces are protected where appropriate.
* Rugs, mats, ornaments, furniture, wires and other obstacles are removed from the delivery route.
* Loose, damaged, uneven or recently fitted flooring, threshold strips, skirting, door frames and other fixtures are secured before delivery.
* Our delivery team is informed before manoeuvring begins of any particularly delicate, newly fitted, damaged or vulnerable flooring, walls, doors, fixtures or fittings.
* There is sufficient clear access for the size and weight of the furniture being delivered.
* Measurements have been checked in advance, including doors, hallways, staircases, lifts, corners and the intended room.
Flooring
Particular care should be taken with flooring :-
The weight of sofas, sofa beds, recliners and other large furniture can place significant pressure on floors while the product is being manoeuvred, positioned or assembled.
Customers with newly fitted or particularly delicate flooring should ensure that appropriate protective covering is in place across the complete delivery route before our team arrives.
Our delivery team cannot be expected to determine the installation quality, strength or susceptibility to marking of a customer’s flooring.
Where flooring is loose, uneven, inadequately fitted, already damaged or particularly vulnerable, customers should make our team aware before delivery begins.
Reasonable Care During Delivery
Our delivery teams will take reasonable care and skill when handling and manoeuvring your furniture and when entering your property.
However, customers should appreciate that very large and heavy furniture cannot always be manoeuvred through restricted spaces without an increased risk of contact with floors, walls, doors or other parts of the property.
If our delivery team believes that moving an item through a particular access point or into a requested location presents a significant risk of damage to the furniture, property or persons, they may decline to proceed beyond that point.
We will not require our team to proceed with a manoeuvre that they reasonably consider unsafe simply because a customer requests it.
Room-of-Choice & Positioning
Where the delivery service purchased does not include room-of-choice delivery or assembly, the team is only required to provide the delivery service stated on the order.
If a customer asks the team to carry or manoeuvre furniture beyond the service purchased, the team may decline the request.
Any assistance provided outside the agreed delivery service is at the discretion of the delivery team and will depend on safe and suitable access.
Customers should not drag or slide heavy furniture across flooring after delivery. Where furniture needs repositioning, it should be lifted correctly by an appropriate number of people and suitable floor protection should be used.
Existing Damage & Property Condition
LoveMyBedss cannot accept responsibility for damage that was already present before delivery or for deterioration arising from pre-existing defects in flooring, doors, walls, thresholds, fixtures or fittings.
Where a property-damage claim is made, we may review delivery photographs, videos, driver reports, customer photographs and any other available evidence to establish the condition of the property and determine what occurred.
Where existing damage or vulnerable areas are identified before delivery, our drivers may photograph or record these areas for the purpose of maintaining an accurate delivery record.
Nothing in this policy excludes or limits responsibility where damage is shown to have resulted from a failure by LoveMyBedss or a delivery partner acting on our behalf to exercise reasonable care and skill. UK consumer law does not allow a trader simply to contract out of that obligation.
